Bike Rentals - Five Boro Bike Tour
RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Due to the high demand for this event, all bike rentals must be paid in full at the time of reservation.
- Your credit card will be charged for the full value of any rental not returned by the end of the event.
- Special event rental fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
- Renter must be 18 years or older. Please show valid driver's license or passport at pickup.
- You will be required to sign a waiver form.
- Do not leave bikes unattended at any time. You are responsible for any damage or theft.
- You must agree to obey all applicable New York City and New York State traffic laws while riding. Please be careful, wear a helmet, and do not use cell phones or cameras while riding.

What size bike should I ride?
The height ranges we give for each bike size is for general reference. The correct bike size for you depends on many factors. If you are unsure about your size, please stop by our shop and ask any of our staff. Please know your appropriate bike size before placing your rental order.
Can I bring my own pedals?
Yes, if you have your own pedals, we are happy to install those for you. Otherwise, our rental bikes come standard with flat platform pedals (suitable for sneakers).
What happens if I need help during the ride?
The Five Boro Bike Tour is a fully supported event. There are rest areas along the route with bike repair, first aid and other assistance services.
How much in advance should I rent a bike?
We recommend that you secure your rental as soon as you confirm your registration for the bike tour. This is a very popular event, and you may not be able to find a bike rental if you wait.
Do I still need to register for the Five Boro Bike Tour?
Yes, you must register for the bike tour through the Bike New York website. Your bike rental does not include nor guaranty your registration for the bike tour.
What else do I need to prepare for the ride?
Helmets are required for everyone. Also recommended are flat repair kit, sunscreen, water bottle, photo id. Please stop by the shop and we can help make sure you are ready in advance of the ride.
